Description

MSK-3000W is a CE Certified ultrasonic metal welder with a color touch-screen controller. It is designed for welding stacked thick electrode sheets (Copper,  Aluminum, or Nickle) and tabs onto current collectors to prepare Li-ion pouch cells in R&D laboratories.
If the machine is operated in Ar gas condition please consider MSK-3000W-AR. See application notes and select them in the optional bar.
MTI has granted the patent 201920351987.X for the Ultrasonic Tab Welding Machine since November 2019. SPECIFICATIONS:

Application Note
  • The MSK-3000W ultrasonic welder can't be used in the Ar gas condition because electric arc occurs during the process. Use N2 gas if needed.
  • Nickel and Aluminum Tabs can be welded onto different types of current collecting substrates (Aluminum or Copper) when making battery electrodes. 
            
  • A modified version MSK-3000W-AR can be safely used in the Ar gas condition. KF-40 feedthrough is provided which separates the control unit from the glovebox (only welding unit is inside the glovebox) and delivers the operating gas from the gas cylinder (or air compressor) outside the glovebox to the welding unit inside the glove box. Please contact us for the quote of MSK-3000W-AR in advance if the Ar gas operating atmosphere will be considered.
  • The compact design enables the operation inside the glove box with an Ar atmosphere where Lithium-SulfurLithium AirLithium Solid-State, or Li-ion half cell will be assembled. Please click the images in below to understand these technologies and how it fits in a glove box.
