Description

MSK-H2150-E is a 150mm width ( ~6 ") precision electric Rolling Speed Adjustable press with rollers heatable up to 200°C. It is an ideal rolling press for preparing the Li-Ion battery electrode sheet and polymer solid electrolyte sheet.  This heating rolling machine can be used in the Ar glove box and any atmosphere.
MTI has granted the patent 201720537817.1& 201720534495.5 for the Heating Rolling Press  MSK-H2150-E since December 2017.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Structure
  • Roller size: 140mm width x 96mm Dia ( dual rollers),  made of hardened steel (HRC > 58) with Cr electroplated coating
  • Rollers can be heated up to 200°C with a digital temperature controller within +/- 1°C
  • Rolling precision on thickness is < 0.002 mm
  • Rolling Speed Adjustable (0 - 50 mm/ second)
  • Dual digital micrometer for accurate thickness adjustment in the range 0 - 3 mm
  • Touch screen control for speed and temperature 
  • Separated control unit from the rolling for operating inside the glovebox and saving space.
  • Special DC motor designed for operating in the Ar gas atmosphere.

Application Notes
  • The MSK-H2150E rollers are specially designed for battery R&D in terms of its advantages as affordable, compact, and precise. Please strictly follow the instructions to operate
    • Must use acetone to clean rollers' surface after each use
    • If the machine will be idle for a long period of time, please apply anti-rust lubricant on the rollers
  • To use this rolling press outside of a glove box, it is recommended to set the press right side up. (Pic.1). To use this rolling press in a glove box, it is recommended to lie down the press, the sample substrate can be fed from the top and received on the bottom. (Pic. 2)
  • If you would like to put a control box outside the glove box,  a KF 40 feedthrough may be needed at the extra cost. Please let us know in advance.

Warnings
  • Never roll materials with hardness > 50HRC
  • Multi-step thickness calendering needed: While calendering the sample sheet, make each calendering decrement of 0.02mm comparing with sheet original thickness. 
  • Never calendering decrement over 0.02mm comparing with original sheet thickness each calendering.
  • Must clean roller surface for each rolling  and Use acetone to clean and lubricate  when not in use to avoid corrosion
